ASSOCIATE: eneral Counsels, in-house senior legal executives, and senior in-house legal leaders who identify as Indigenous, Black or a Person of Colour who are transitioning between in-house roles at companies (that are not in the business of providing legal services) with operating presence in Canada and expect to be eligible for National GC Network Regular membership
EMERGING LEADER: In-house lawyers who identify as Indigenous, Black or a Person of Colour who do not qualify for Regular, Emeritus or Associate membership and are employed in a company (that is not in the business of providing legal services) with operating presence in Canada, endorsed by their General Counsel (or the most senior legal executive in Canada or a member of the National GC Network’s board) as having demonstrated leadership experience, and is an emerging leader who can be expected to be eligible for National GC Network Regular membership within 5 years
ALLY: Counsel who do not qualify for Regular, Emeritus, Associate or Emerging Leader membership but who are employed by a company (that is not in the business of providing legal services) with operating presence in Canada as its in-house counsel and who have been called to the Bar for at least 5 years in a Canadian jurisdiction. Allies must be sponsored by a Regular member.
